I love to eat. It may be my most favorite hobby. Ever.
Unfortunately, I don't like to spend much time in the kitchen. I work. I'm a mom. I'm a wife. I would rather spend my time doing more important things, like sniffing baby feet or playing tickle monster.
I'm also a rookie, which means I have totally no idea what I'm doing in the kitchen. One time, I used a recipe that called for a double boiler. I didn't know what that was, so I simply boiled my ingredients twice. I'm smart like that.
I strive to be half the cook my mom is (she's totally legit). I use a lot of her recipes and recipes that have been handed down from my sweet granny.
I like food that is good. I like ingredients that are simple (and that I can pronounce). And I like recipes that are easy to make.
Here's a collection of my favorite simple, yummy recipes:

Peggy's fresh apple (cup) cake
Granny's holiday party cookies (aka, chocolate chip cookies)
Aunt Lorene's chocolate caramel turtle cake
Caramel Pecan Cookies by Jen

Granny's creamy broccoli casserole

Potted pork chops
Brandie's hamburger steaks and gravy
